The apartment is spacious and bright and benefits from large windows, a corner aspect and balconies on both sides. There are glimpses of a mountain on one side the a sea on the other, from the east-facing balcony.

The flat has wooden floors in the bedrooms and living room and tiles everywhere else. All rooms have shutters outside and curtains inside. The appartment is carefully tastefully decorated throughout.

The lounge and dining room

This luminous space has an extendable dining table with four chairs (more folding chairs are available in the flat). The lounge area has a large leather white sofa, an antique armchair, a mid-century octagonal coffee table and a flat-screen TV with DVD player. There is also a large bookcase.

The room’s corner aspect gives it a spacious feel. The double doors open onto a small balcony from which the sea can be seen.

Kitchen

The kitchen has a large fridge-freezer, microwave, full-size dishwasher, toaster, electric hob, and oven and plenty of equipment for cooking. Tall cupboards provide ample storage space. The walls are enlivened with charming yellow provençal tiles on one side and pictures on the other. A breakfast bar provides extra surface area.

A small balcony has room for a small table and chairs for al-fresco drinks and dining.

Bedrooms

The main bedroom has a king-size bed with matching night tables and lamps. There is a large antique Louis-Philippe wardrobe with drawers and a small desk and chair. There is a wall-mounted air-conditioning unit with remote control.

In the second bedroom are two single beds, a rustic wardrobe and shelving for storage and a small desk and chair. The second air-conditioning unit is in this room, with its own remote control.

Both rooms are tastefully decorated.

A balcony connects these rooms with the kitchen. The bedrooms and kitchen all face the quieter street on the northern side of the building.

Hall

The entrance hall gives an immediate feel of light and space, with its bright decoration and white floor tiles. It boasts a statement wall mirror above a small antique chest, and a full-length mirror at the bathroom end.

The hall gives access to all the rooms and to a storage cupboard for cleaning equipment. A full-height cupboard near the front door stores linen and other essentials. The hat and coat stand complete the picture.

Neighbourhood

The neighbourhood offers small shop including several bakers and greengrocers, and the major supermarkets, restaurants and cafés are within easy walking distance.

The beach is a four-minute walk away. Nice’s “old quarter” is 20 minutes’ walk or 5 minutes on one of Nice’s regular buses. The main train station is 20 minutes’ walk or 5 minutes with the bus.

Sanitary facilities

The bathroom comprises a bath with integral shower, a basin on top of a drawer unit, a mirror cabinet above the basin, a toilet and an electric towel rail.

This room features a wall of stunning blue mosaic tiles from floor to ceiling.

The second toilet is in a separate room next to the bathroom.

A large walk-in cupboard next to the second toilet houses the washing machine and substantial shelving for storage.
